The forums are alive with speculation on the future of DPF deleted trucks. While the EPgAy is continuing their assault on free enterprise and the pursuit of the perfect work truck, shops around the US are working with what they have for the new 2013 diesel line-up. Where there is a will, there almost certainly is a way.
While we are still working on a Dodge and GM solution, we have completed a custom tune for DPF Deleted 2013 Ford 6.7 Powerstrokes that runs on an unlocked H&S Street Tuner (109007). How did we do it? That’s our little secret I guess, but in a nutshell, Brent is a genius.
Starting at $449 for just the tune or $1298 for the tune plus an unlocked H&S Street Maxx tuner, Powerlabs Diesel offers four tune settings; Stock, Tow (+50HP), Street (+100HP) and Race (+150HP). We are also seeing an average gain of 2-3 MPG using this tune, which certainly helps at the pump.
The part that troubles us the most is that every time we find a loophole, some regulator out there finds it too. H&S may have to change their line of street tuners to redesign and close any loopholes, being at the mercy of government regulators. We appreciate H&S playing hard and staying in the game, despite the money they lose every time the EPA comes up with some new regulation, and we will continue to strive to be one step ahead of the DPF police.
